What’s On Guide to the Borders: May 2019
The warm weather continues and the nights get lighter after the clocks changing. It fair puts a spring in your step after a driech and cold winter. There’s loads to do of an evening in the village from tennis to bowling in addition to the fabulous network of paths in and around the village for a relaxing stroll with your furry friend. Here’s a sample of some of the key events that are happening locally during May:
4th - 6th May Art @ Ancrum
A long weekend of exhibitions and demonstrations by professional artists and design-led makers in multiple venues throughout the village of Ancrum, where you can meet and purchase directly from the artisans.

5th May Earlston Sevens
Earlston 7s for 2019 will guarantee another fantastic day out at the Haugh with sparkling Sevens rugby followed by a live band and music in the marquee.

10th - 12th May Floors Castle Horse Trials
International dressage will be held on Thursday 9th May 2019. Classes will extend from BE90 to CCI-S3* with additional non-eventing classes including Burghley Young Event Horse, Retrained Racehorses and Arena Eventing.

18th May Jedburgh Sevens
The Jedforest 7s (aka the friendly 7s) are traditionally the last of the Kings Of The 7s Tournaments. This always guarantees an exciting end to the season. The winner of the series is often not known until after our final. First tie kicks off at 1.30pm.
