Awards Galore at The Red Lion, Earlston

What a busy few weeks we've had here at The Red Lion. We are flushed with success!

Scottish Tourist Board Awards

Firstly, we were assessed by the Scottish Tourist Board and awarded another Three-Star Inn rating. Hooray!

In addition to this, we also achieved the 'Taste Our Best' Award and joined the ranks of over 1,000 Scottish businesses who have achieved the criteria set out in the VisitScotland accreditation scheme, which recognises and celebrates businesses providing locally sourced, high quality food and drink.

We were also accredited for being welcoming to all the following groups:

Most Dog Friendly Hotel/Accommodation

One of our guests nominated us for the Be Dog Friendly Awards, which is run by Dog Friendly, the magazine we were featured in recently. Voting closes on 30th September. Thank you to everyone who has voted for us - it means such a lot to us.

Cask Mark

This month, we were also awarded the Cask Marque. This is an independent award for pubs serving great quality cask ale. We were visited by a trained 'mystery shopper' (normally a brewer), who checked our cask ales for temperature, aroma, appearance and taste. We passed with flying colours.

We've just learned that we are going to be featured in CAMRA's 2018 Good Beer Guide. Cheers!
