Christmas Shopping in the Scottish Borders
Now is the perfect time to book a winter break in the Scottish Borders. You can combine crisp country walks, or a day at the seaside, with seasonal festivities and Christmas shopping.
Each Border town boasts an array of independent shops selling local produce, artisan food and drink, and unique artwork and craft items.
If you have a four-legged friend you'd like to bring, you'll find many local independent shops welcome dogs - and we do too. Dogs stay for free at the Red Lion!
And, when you've finished shopping or walking by the river, you can relax up and unwind by the fire in our cosy bar with a glass of wine - or some locally produced gin.
Our Winter Breaks start at just £39.99 per person per night, dinner, bed and breakfast (based on two people sharing a Double or Twin Room). Call 01896 848 994 to book.
To help you plan your visit, we've gathered together all the information we could find about the Christmas lights switch-on events, late-night shopping evenings, festivals and parades.
