What's on Guide to the Borders - August 2018
The Scottish Borders is Scotland’s best-kept secret, which means that even in August, our roads are not clogged with traffic and you can walk for miles on our footpaths before passing another soul.
If walking’s not your thing, how about cycling on our quiet roads? Or mountain biking at nearby Glentress? Or, how about some rockpooling with the local Rangers at the St Abbs and Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve?
There are gardens galore in the Borders, and annual membership of Historic Houses gives you access to all the great houses and gardens in the area.
In addition to all the visitor attractions, there are summer events taking place this month on both sides of the border, and we’ve listed the highlights below.
